Formative Assessment as an Innovative Strategies to Develop ESP Students’ Writing Skills

Most undergraduate students experience summative assessment more than formative. In fact, formative is constructive assessment, which impacts students’ development. Notwithstanding the benefits, research about incorporation of in ESP class somehow rare. This recent focuses on enacting classes regarding writing skills Indonesia. The researchers employed a case study design to investigate how teachers implement their classes. participants are two EFL who teach Business English subjects and forty majoring Economics. gathered data from close-ended questionnaires, semi-structured interviews, observation. revealed that learners were provided with multiple chances enhance myriad facets establish good attitude assessment. Thus, educators required concept since educators’ learners’ involvement can achieve teaching learning improvement reflection. Future should focus particular aspects evaluation, like give feedback classroom discourse, equally useful writing.
